Hello astronomy buffs. I was out tonight and saw that there was a ring around the moon:
And since I was out there, I thought I would try a shot with my 300mm telephoto lens:
Not bad for a shot straight out of the camera!

Yes, I have noticed some odd optical effects due to unusual weather. I did take a photo of a phenomenon called a frost pillar over Grouse Mt a month or so back.
