The south end of 72nd Street near the access to the dike is a fairly dark spot with good views to the south and east. There is a lot of skyglow to the north and the Deltaport terminal creates a dome to the southwest.
A few people go there to do imaging when the skies are clear and the moon is new, so please try to arrive before full dark and park with your headlights facing north so you won’t disturb the imagers too much when you leave.
